Job Description Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1 year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Providing communication access to students through American Sign Language interpretation is vital in K-12 education. This opportunity is for experienced Sign Language Interpreters to serve full-time in both middle and high schools within the Franklin, TN area for the remainder of the contract school year. This contract role begins ASAP and runs through 5/22/2026, working onsite weekdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Interpreters will support general education students, facilitating communication and ensuring accessibility within the classroom environment. Two positions are available for middle schools and one for a high school, supporting diverse age groups in a dynamic educational setting. Key Qualifications: Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is required. Experience levels ranging from entry (0-2 years) to seasoned (10 years) will be considered. Strong skills in American Sign Language interpretation in educational settings. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff to provide effective communication support. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism within the school environment. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality ASL interpretation for classroom instruction and related activities. Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and other educational personnel. Adapt interpretation methods to suit various educational and social situations. Attend meetings as required to discuss student needs and progress. Comply with all school policies and procedures.
