Interpreter Training Program (ITP), active Registry of Interpreters
for the Deaf (RID) certification, and 1 years Interpreter
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available
for a Braillist specializing in tactile materials to support K-12
students within an elementary age group. This full-time, on-site
contract position is based in Franklin, Tennessee, serving local
schools within the Williamson County area. Key Responsibilities:
Produce and prepare high-quality braille and tactile learning
materials tailored for elementary students. Collaborate with
educators and support staff to ensure accessible educational
resources for visually impaired students. Maintain accurate records
of materials produced and comply with all relevant standards for
tactile literacy. Provide expertise in tactile graphics to enhance
the learning experience and accessibility. Desired Qualifications:
Proven experience working with tactile materials, including braille
transcription and production. Strong understanding of the needs of
visually impaired students within a school setting. Ability to
manage workload efficiently and meet project deadlines. Excellent
communication skills and team collaboration experience. Location:
