Job Summary
The Global Principal Consultant - Network will focus on proactively
supporting SHI network infrastructure strategies and complex
client-facing opportunities in the form of architecture design,
integrated partner technology lab environments, and management of
large-scale client projects. This role works directly with
Technical Consultants and supports internal SHI sellers in the form
of complex technical pre-sales. This role also supports sales
operations and ensures delivery of solutions based on the
opportunities and targeted strategic Global Team practice
goals.
As Global Principal Consultant - Network, you will work with
cutting-edge technologies to help Fortune 150 customers analyze and
design technology solutions. This position requires a driven
individual that has hands-on technical experience in a wide array
of networking areas, wishing to further develop their exposure to
both technologies while acting in a senior lead technical role with
SHI customers.
The Global Principal Consultant - Network will report to theGlobal
Director of Presales Enterprise Architecture. This is a remote
position but may be required to report to the SHI headquarters for
meetings as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with the Global field sales teams to help qualify,
understand, and recommend opportunity solutions
Work closely with SHI and partners' engineering, architecture, and
delivery teams to ensure a cohesive selling motion with both the
customers and field sales teams
Provide technical expertise to the field sales staff for onsite
customer visits
Provide technical leadership for our sales efforts during the sales
cycle with clients
Participate in related RFP responses as needed
Develop and document technical reference architectures; developed
within the lab environment and targeted and integrated
opportunities or developed based on client objectives
Develop and deliver webcasts, presentations, and white board
workshops
Stay current with new technologies and innovations and recommend
creative adoption of new technologies
Acquire and maintain relevant industry certification as directed
and required
Perform post-sales support in the form of project leadership and
guidance
Provide technical support for security solutions; client facing and
in lab environments
Perform proactive evaluation and assessment of new networking
technologies
Develop and maintain knowledge of network standards and
guidelines
Create technical solution offerings incorporating technical
standards, policies, and procedures
Continually assess existing solutions and services and identify
opportunities for improvements
Qualifications
10+ years of experience working in an engineering, consulting,
analyst, or operations role aligned with network technologies
10 + years prior industry experience as a network architect on high
traffic networks
Previous experience in IT or a presales-focused role supporting,
designing, architecting, implementing, and troubleshooting
technologies supporting large scale multinational clients
Experience with standard load balancer design, SSL termination, and
overall application/solution design (L4-7)
Experience with L2/L3 network and security design to adhere to good
security practices employing all protocols
Proven Experience working with IPSEC, VPN, and SSL, SASE, SEE
Proven knowledge of network protocols including BGP, OSPF, and Rip
Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols to include
security policy setup
Experience with scripting languages for automation of routine work
such as Python/Ansible
Proven knowledge of SDN, 5G technologies
Platform experience with, but not limited to, the following:
Juniper, Riverbed, Arista, Extreme, F5, Akami, HPE, VMware,
SilverPeak, FortiNet, Palo Alto, Aryaka, Versa, Cumulus/Nvidia
Required Skills

facilities to increase job related knowledge and skills
Ability to act as a lead within a technical team
Ability to develop and drive technical strategies
Ability to create advanced network architectures and designs
Ability to design, implement, and configure network solutions
Ability to analyze and access complex scenarios and solve
problems
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple demands while ensuring
customer needs are met
Excellent organization skills
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
A strong understanding of / experience with networking and cloud
concepts
Ability to travel as needed
Network and administration background a plus
Certifications Required
Hold Certifications and equivalent(s) such as, but not limited to,
the following:
CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, Azure and/or AWS Networking Certification,
Microsoft MTA; CompTIA Security+; GIAC: GISF; (ISC)2: SSCP/CCSP
Cloud Security Certifications a plus:
AWS, Google, Azure
Security Manufacturer Certifications a plus:
Palo Alto, Forcepoint, Fortinet, Microsoft, Cisco, Checkpoint,
Others as appropriate

Additional Information
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $180,000 -
$240,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation
for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills,
experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from
individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited
to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
