Responsibilities
An experienced consultant is sought to provide subject matter
expertise in the areas of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and
Health Information Exchange (HIE), manage projects of varying
sizes, coordinate deliverables across project teams, and develop
broader management skills. This Consultant may work across multiple
state projects that may vary in subject matter. Projects will
primarily consist of EHR planning and implementations, HIE planning
and management/oversight, and a variety of Medicaid Modernization
engagements. Responsibilities will include:
Reviews and be the expert in the business operations for service
and efficiency improvements.
Evaluates programs and makes recommendations for improvements.
Analyzes and interprets federal and state law and regulation,
specifically as it relates to Health IT.
Assesses EHR and HIE industry best practices and provide guidance
or assistance to clients.
Manages small projects, staff and tasks with limited supervision
while meeting and exceeding performance expectations.
Facilitates client discussions.
Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members.
Manages daily project functions and client interaction.
Participates in sales motions related to the practice.
Leads proposal writing teams, including writing sections,
coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions.
Prepares other written reports and materials for clients.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or 5 years' experience required and
Master's degree (MPA or government focused MBA) preferred
Experience:
Previous consulting experience.
At least 4 years of previous professional experience in the areas
of government, consulting, information technology, and/or business
operations.
Experience in a consulting and advisory role for a medium to large
scale EHR Implementation.
Experience and familiarity with clinical workflows.
Understanding and ability to advise on EHR and HIE industry trends
and best practices.
Experience with health data interoperability standards.
Experience in a consulting and advisory role for an EHR Procurement
that includes Requirements. gathering, RFP drafting, proposal
evaluation, and contract review/negotiation preferred
Project Management experience preferred.

Demonstrated competency with project management tools and
platforms

Compensation
Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending
on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the
specific office location, role, skill set, and level of
experience.---As required by applicable law, PCG provides the
following reasonable range of compensation for this role:
$75,000-$95,000 . In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for
this role. .
