Job Description:

The purpose of this job is to independently lead a project to bring haircare formulations into compliance with a specific cruelty free certification program. This job will also function to build systems and processes to ensure that third party haircare formulations comply with ELC quality, safety and regulatory requirements through the new product launch process.--The job recipient will partner with cross-functional team members to ensure that information gathered during the certification process is communicated through ELC systems and processes.

  • Works with brand partners, formulation leadership, Third Party Manufacturers (TPMs) and Vendors to bring raw materials and product formulations into compliance with certifications and corporate requirements
  • Collaborates with other brands which have previously completed similar certification programs to learn from their experiences and gain critical insights
  • Independently develops a plan of action for bringing a product portfolio into compliance with a certification program
  • Skillfully communicates with cross functional teams to translate needs for information with clarity and purpose
  • Established problem solving/influencing skills and the ability to thrive in a remote team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and package into a comprehensive report
  • Solid communication skills in web conferences, phone calls and emails and personable demeanor that promotes trust and accountability
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task several projects on different timelines
  • Tenacity in completing project goals and gathering information over an extended period
  • Deep understanding of the need to provide accurate information to certification bodies and regulatory teams to meet customer expectations
  • Familiarity with product development, quality management systems and supply chain managementQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Education Level: BS/BA in relevant field (Biology, Chemistry, Engineering)Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year related field project experienceAdditional Job Specifications:

    • Working knowledge of including Excel, Outlook and Word programs PowerPoint and RDSThe anticipated base salary range for this position is $52,500 to $81,500. Exact salary depends on several--factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on--geographic location.
