VCA MidWest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center is growing
exponentially! We grew our case count by 70% in 2020 and we are
looking to add some team members to our supervisor team!
Our facility is Nebraskas only full-time, state-of-the-art
specialty and emergency hospital, and we are seeking to add two
Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician to our Emergency & Critical
We have been a leader in small animal specialty medicine in
Nebraska, Northern Kansas, South Dakota, and Western Iowa for the
last decade! Our hospital has nationally, and internationally,
recognized board-certified specialists in disciplines including
Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Neurology, and Surgery. We also
have independent contractors in Cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging.
Our Emergency Department operates around the clock and is staffed
with a dedicated emergency & critical care specialist, emergency
doctors, licensed technicians, and support staff.
Being a Lead Technician means you are a believer in the
possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient
carewith the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
You will work alongside our Medical Director, Hospital
Administrator, and Emergency Supervisor to provide mentorship,
ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning
environment. You will have the opportunity to build your leadership
skills and have a clear career path.

In addition to all Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties
will include, but are not limited to:
Train and mentor support team
Implementing department policies and procedures.
Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings.
Help create a hospital environment that uplifts our associates.
Supervise staff to assure that each job is being effectively
Work together as a team with fellow management staff to promote and
develop VCA MidWest patient care and client service goals.

-State of Nebraska Veterinary Technology License required.
-Associates degree in Veterinary Technology
-Successful completion of the VTNE
-1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred
-3 years as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician
