ZONE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE -HVAC / REFRIGERATION
University of Nebraska-Lincoln UNL Building Systems Maintenance
seeks an individual with skills and experience to perform
installation, maintenance, and repair of all types of heating, air
conditioning, and refrigeration equipment including walk-in
coolers, walk-in freezers, ice machines, and refrigeration
chillers. Requires knowledge of building systems and maintenance
relating to commercial refrigeration systems, associated HVAC
control systems, and all codes and supporting systems that apply to
each. Employee will use schematics, blueprint drawings, and all
trade tools and systems to complete the installation,
troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
Perform all phases of general, aesthetic, and preventive
maintenance within supervisor's specific guidelines. Responsible
for assisting Zone Preventive Maintenance Senior and Zone
Preventive Maintenance Lead on tasks and projects related to the
systematic inspection, detection, and correction of incipient
failures of equipment or facilities either before they occur or
before they develop into major defects. This position works
independently on tasks and performs moderately complex to complex
tasks with varying levels of supervision. This position will be
expected to interact with customers and other employees in a
professional manner that enhances work effectiveness for the zone
Preventive Maintenance crew. Must be available 24/7 by personal
cell phone to support daily operations and respond to campus
emergencies, as well as periodic on-call rotations on weekends and
