Senior Marketing Manager, Outdoor Power Equipment - The Toro

Your Opportunity: The Senior Marketing Manager for for The Toro
Company’s Spartan Mowers Division, you will maintain key customer
relationships with our distribution, and dealer channels.
Responsibilities include development of appropriate objectives,
strategies and tactics built on a customer-first mindset to ensure
the optimal performance of the category. Scope of work includes
products, services, promotions, pricing programs, channel delivery
and P&L management. This role works cross-functionally with
engineering, sales, marketing communications, upstream product
management, customer care and integrated supply chain leadership
teams. Scope: The Senior Marketing Manager, Spartan Mowers will
work broadly across the organization (engineering, marketing,
sales, IT, upstream product management, integrated supply chain)
and with distribution and dealer channel partners. Sponsorship:

VISA at this time. Work Location: - The Senior Marketing Manager
for Spartan Mowers will be based out of the Beatrice, NE, Exmark
division headquarters. The current team mostly works 5-days on
campus in Beatrice, NE. - Current employees at other Toro locations
and divisions, may be considered for hybrid/remote with their
current location. - Fully-remote is not available at this time. -
Relocation support is not available. What Will You Do? In order to
grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will
be responsible for: - P&L Ownership: Owns and is expected to
deliver on all aspect of the P&L from topline revenue down
through controllable profit contribution (CPC). Develop actions to
address areas of concern on an ongoing basis throughout the year
both to deliver on the current year and outward long-range planning
(LRP) horizon. - Product line ownership: Develop line structures to
achieve the financial objectives of the business and retailers.
Rationalize SKUs as needed to optimize financial performance and
reduce working capital. Develop a deep understanding of customer
needs, lifestyles, and shopping behaviors and drive those insights
to upstream product management to drive the product roadmap and
marketing communications to drive on product, pricing, programs and
placement strategies. Conduct dealer visits and contractor
ride-a-longs - Retail performance: Monitor retail performance and
develop actions to optimize financial performance based on trends.
Develop promotional strategies to deliver on financial commitments
and LRP strategies. Review success of current and past promotions
to drive forward looking decisions. In conjunction with our
training team, develop compelling product walk arounds and field
selling tools - Inventory management: Integrated Business Planning
- Demand planning ownership (in conjunction with demand planning
team) utilizing retail trends. Demand planning ranges from current
month through 2-year horizon. Working capital owner with
responsibility for both finished goods and WIP inventory. Regularly
review build schedules to ensure they meet future demand, open back
orders, and safety stock commitments. Make recommended build
schedule swaps where needed. Review slow moving inventory and
develop strategies to sell through. What Do You Need? To be
considered for this role, an individual should meet the following
required minimal requirements: - BA or BS Degree in
marketing-related discipline required; with 10 years of marketing
experience required. - Strong customer orientation, including
experience leading Voice of Customer. - Legacy of P&L
leadership and successful delivery on company financial
commitments. - Passion for providing market-leading products on
time and within project scope, including a minimum 7 years of
successfully managing new product development efforts. - Must
possess strong analytical skills and demonstrated superior
interpersonal, supervisory, and leadership abilities for
project/team management. - Must possess excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, exhibit initiative and be a team player fully
supportive of division and company objectives and culture.
Preferred Qualifications: - MBA preferred with 8 years’ experience
in consumer, mid-price/premium products. - Experience in
multi-channel (mass and dealer) go to market strategies preferred.
- Emerging technologies experience, including product portfolio
electrification and/or IoT desired. What Can We Give You? At

this opportunity is $126,000-$160,000 annually. The pay range takes
into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not
common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation
decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each
