Job Description:

Corbion's Fill Room Technician is responsible for packaging and
material handling activities including filling and packaging Lactic
Acid, its derivatives, and moving packaged finished product. In
this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and minor
upkeep/maintenance of equipment and maintaining a clean and safe
working environment.
You will be cross trained in warehouse operations and have the
ability to assist in other areas as needed.
Requirements:
Safe, clean and accurate packaging of lactic acid and its
derivatives including completion of required documentation, making
labels, packaging and cleaning the fill lines per company
standards.
Operation and minor maintenance/trouble shooting of the packaging
equipment, floor scales, conveyor and wrapper machines.
Enter information in the WMS system and the Mettler Toledo
machine.
Maintain safe work environment by upholding cleanliness standards
and operating the equipment and utilities in a safe manner.
Receive empty packaging containers from trucks, verifying counts,
making appropriate entries into ERP LX and WMS systems, applying
correct documentation/labels and moving product to proper storage
locations.
Perform cycle count functions of finished goods and raw material
product, utilizing ERP LX and WMS systems and following written
instructions.
Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on material handling
equipment.
Execute QESH standards per defined roles and responsibilities to
ensure personal and product safety and quality.
Perform within the guidelines of all Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), security measures,
housekeeping, Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP), all
quality, regulatory, environmental, safety and health guidelines
and regulations. These standards are used in all daily activities
to ensure product safety and quality are in compliance.
Qualifications
:
High School Diploma or GED.
Competent in basic mathematics, calculating and computer
skills.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in liquids packaging or in a
filling operation preferred.
Ability to operate machinery and equipment including forklift.
Ability to read specifications, interpret routine production
operating procedures and troubleshoot machinery.
General Working Environment:
Fill Room Technicians are required to work in a plant, with some
tasks taking place outside of the plant.
Fill Room Technicians will fill and package Lactic Acid and will
have to wear the appropriate PPE including, but not limited to hard
hats, safety glasses, safety boots, chemical suits, face-shields,
rubber gloves, hair nets, aprons and uniform clothing.
Temperatures inside and outside the facility will range between
-15*F and 120*F depending on location and the activities
involved.
Usual Physical Activities : Through the course of a typical shift
an individual in this position will perform the following
activities:
Must be able to perform moderately heavy physical activity 25% to
50% of time and lift weight up to 50lbs
Must be able to lift or pull heavy objects daily, in excess of
50lbs
Prolonged standing, 20% of the time
Walks extensively, 20% of the time
Kneels
Bends, repetitively
Squats, repetitively
Reaches above and below the shoulders
Traverses plant levels via stairs, frequently
Corrected vision, speaking ability, and hearing are usually
involved in performing written and verbal job functions
