Are you an experienced and passionate Science Teacher looking for a leadership role? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our school in Lincoln as the Head of Science. As the Head of Science, you will lead and manage the Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning and promoting a love for science among students.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Science department, providing direction, guidance, and support to the team of Science teachers.
• Develop and implement an engaging and challenging Science curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
• Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality lessons, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies and resources.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention strategies where necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and organize extracurricular activities, trips, and events related to Science.
  Requirements:
  
  • A recognized teaching qualification (QTS) and a degree in a Science-related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Science in secondary education.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the Science department.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education).Benefits:
