We're looking for a -Disbursements Associate. -The work location
for this position is Lincoln, -Nebraska, and is eligible for a
-hybrid work arrangement.

The Opportunity:
-
The Disbursements Associate is responsible for high volume
processing of consignments for US Auctions. The primary mandate for
the Associate will be to ensure all consignments are paid on time
and that appropriate remittance process and systems are adhered
to.

In this role you'll:
Review, verify and process consignment files to create settlement
statements and issue accurate payment for consignments in
accordance with the company's contractual obligations.
Work with the lien search department to calculate final customer
payments.
Ensure appropriate authorizations in accordance with corporate
controls.
Process check runs, electronic funds transfers and wire payments to
consignors and lien holders in a timely manner.
Answer all customer and auction sale site inquiries while providing
excellent customer service.
Reconcile settlement statements to the general ledger prior to
mail-out and month end.
Produce follow-up reports such as post-sale checklists and delayed
sale file lists to sale sites.
Liaise with accounts receivable department to continually monitor
post-sale changes and corrections such as price adjustments,
deductions, holdbacks, collapses, and bill for deficiencies.
Liaise with fixed asset and procurement department to maintain
current book values.

Here's what you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
1-3 years of experience working in an office environment.
Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience is an
asset.
Experience working with ERP systems.
Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook or similar email system.
Excellent communication skills - you'll be communicating with
customers and sale site staff regularly, in person and over the
phone.
Proven commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build
relationships.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively, to properly
prioritize a high volume of work, and an ability to meet strict
deadlines.
Keen eye for detail - you'll provide precise facts and figures and
produce accurate work.
Fluency in another language is an asset, but not required.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organized, detailed-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced
environment.
Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
Demonstrated experience working well as a member of a team.
A solid work ethic, without sacrificing your sense of humor or your
ability to have fun on the job.

This job will require you to:
Responsible for mail-out procedure.
Research and respond to consignor and sales team inquiries.
Filing and sorting paperwork.
Assist with month end closing and reporting.
Performs other accounting administrative duties as required.
Flexibility and willingness to work varied hours and occasional
overtime hours.
