the Chief Information Officer has a Java development job that might
be right for you. The person in this IT Application Developer
Position on the Web Development Team will be working on a daily
basis with team members, Agencies, Boards, and Commissions within
Nebraska State Government using agency and team determined tools
and platforms on cross-platform web development projects in support
of critical line-of-business systems, serving the citizens of the
State of Nebraska. The State of Nebraska is value driven, and these

priority. Examples of Work Assist senior-level developers while
consulting with clients on projects. Use tools and utilities as
appropriate. Design, develop, code, debug, test, document and
maintain. Perform the functional and technical design and
implementation in a large-scale IT environment including
consideration of existing automated systems with considerable
supervision. Participate in the full range of development
activities, including requirements gathering; analysis and
definition; functional and technical design; coding and testing;
implementation, and production support with limited supervision.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of classification.
Qualifications / Requirements Experience, education, or training in
coding computer applications. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Candidates must be service oriented, have strong interpersonal and
analytical skills that include working directly with various levels
of business and technical staff to determine sound technical
solutions for business requirements. Candidate must have strong
technical, organization and planning, problem-solving, and
decision-making skills. Candidate must have the desire and ability
to learn and learn quickly. Candidate must be able to debug, test
and document computer programs, write clear understandable program
code, maintain, and modify existing computer applications, and work
effectively in a team environment.
