**Job Description:**
The pediatric Provider Relations Executive (PRE) is the point
person and key liaison between Intermountain Healthcare and
referring Pediatric and other providers as assigned in a designated
geographical area. This is a generalist position that represents
all of Intermountain Healthcare's services to referring practices
within the assigned geography. This is a field-based position with
the responsibility to make routine office visits to referring
offices, deliver key Intermountain messaging, develop relationships
with practice leaders, physicians and staff, reinforce appropriate
utilization of Intermountain services, coordinate issue resolution,
and act as a liaison between the referring office and Intermountain
Healthcare. The PRE reports directly to Central Office Outreach
leadership while having strong communication and correlation with
local hospital, service line and/or facility leadership. Under the
direction of Outreach leadership, the PRE qualifies potential
referral generating sources, strengthens relationships with
existing referral sources, determines provider and patient needs,
and effectively communicates solutions. The PRE works closely with
multiple internal services lines, clinical programs, and provider
relations teams. The PRE is held accountable to monthly goals and
quotas that are determined by Outreach leadership, and is
responsible for maintaining impeccable records of visits,
expenditures, and mileage.
Job Essentials
Creates and maintains strong relationships and successful
integration into physician practices to provide the best access to
our physicians, hospital services and programs, and assists in the
retention of patients from one aspect of care to another in a
convenient, customer responsive and expedited manner. Helps
Intermountain Healthcare make it easy for patients and providers to
enter and stay in our integrated network.
Knowledge:
Gains a deep understanding of the patient and provider experience
of accessing and staying in the Intermountain system.
Understands the business needs of referral sources and how
Intermountain Healthcare can meet those needs.
Assesses referring practice exam mix and volume and their
operational flow.
Develops and maintains superior knowledge of Intermountain services
and hospitals.
Business Development:
Builds and maintains strong professional relationships with clinic
leadership, physicians, office staff, hospital executives and
service line leaders, facility administration, and other key
stakeholders.
Evaluates the effectiveness of current business development
activities utilizing reports and feedback from internal and
external sources.
Identifies and quantifies opportunities by gaining a deep
understanding of Intermountain Healthcare's services, how those
services are accessed by patients and providers, and how those
services can improve clinical outcomes for patients in our
communities.
Identifies referral sources with low utilization and formulates a
strategy to increase appropriate utilization of Intermountain
Healthcare?s services.
Regularly evaluates the marketplace to identify growth
opportunities.
Assists Outreach leadership in developing business development
plans for the assigned territory that fit within the scope of the
overall company strategy.
Meets or exceeds quotas and budget expectations determined by
Outreach leadership.
Identifies and quantifies opportunities, issues, and sources of
leakage
Internal Communications:
Communicates effectively and in a positive manner with internal
customers, including department managers, operations officers,
facility administration, corporate leadership, and other service
line representatives.
Provides strong communication with appropriate leadership to
resolve referring office issues and customer service
shortfalls.
Utilizes other internal personnel in regular rounding to referring
offices.
Maintains call logs and visits notes as instructed by Outreach
leadership.
Correlates closely with hospital leadership in delivering a
standard Intermountain Healthcare message and a unified approach
for referring office satisfaction.
Presentation Skills:
Shows strong communication skills by delivering effective
presentations in both group and individual settings.
Overcomes objections, answers questions, understands the customer's
needs, and obtains commitments for referrals.
Maintains strong listening skills.
Consistently strives to improve personal skills through internal
and external educational opportunities, shadowing other staff,
etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree obtained through an accredited institution.
Education is verified.
Current driver's license.
Two years of healthcare sales or field-based customer service
experience.

Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, listening and customer
service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
A degree in sales, marketing, business or a health-related
field
Experience in the health care industry.

Knowledge of medical terminology.
