Want to join us? In this role, you will own the success of Hudl's hardware products which means continuous improvement of our existing hardware product line and executing on developing new products. You will own the product development lifecycle and lead the hardware business unit consisting of product managers, engineers, designers, and supply chain experts. You'll work with them to deliver products consistently, on time that meet the market/customer need. You will also be responsible for successfully crafting and delivering a cohesive product strategy working with other business units to ensure the best user experience for coaches and athletes. This isn't just a product role, or an ops one, or even just a hardware one. This is a growing whole new division and meaningful unit within Hudl.This role requires a strong product leader with a mix of skills across product management, manufacturing, engineering, and industrial design. You'll need to be able to lead and hire a great team to ensure we have the right mix of talent to ensure success over a growing catalogue of products. We are currently scaling from thousands of units to tens of thousands of units annually. This is happening in conjunction with a big increase in international demand. This position is able to work remotely within the Eastern or Midwest US or out of our Lincoln, Omaha, or Boston offices. You Are

  • Professionally qualified and experienced-with knowledge and wisdom honed by years of successes and failures bringing hardware products to market.--
  • Familiar with all aspects of hardware product development processes, from market research, design, prototyping, production and quality.
  • Fueled by the customer love that your products create.
  • Abled to lead and manage hardware operations, contract manufacturing and supply chain experts.
  • A problem solver. When something isn't going according to plan, you find another solution quickly.
  • Not one for the status quo. "That's the way we've always done it" isn't in your vocabulary. You constantly look for ways to innovate and make things better. Good is never good enough.
  • Experienced with leading contract manufacturing and supply chain
  • A vocal leader. You have experience managing new initiatives and projects. You're able to influence and challenge teams to incorporate best practices in everything they do. You Will
    • Lead the Hardware business unit to achieve Hudl's overall business and customer goals.
    • Bring expertise to Hudl to help scale the hardware product line.
    • Create and evangelize Hudl's hardware product strategy.
    • Own the roadmap, timelines and budget for bringing hardware products to market.
    • Implement a product development lifecycle process to scale hardware creation.
    • Work with Hudl's OEM/ODMs to prototype, refine, QC, and launch new products on an efficient schedule.
    • Oversees the success of sales and operations planning
    • Scale hardware from US-only to global--
    • Oversee fleet management (e.g. EOL strategy, operations and systems that scale to manage existing installed hardware)
    • Drive continuous improvement. Hardware is a newer piece of Hudl's product portfolio, so there's plenty of opportunity for us to improve on the way we develop and produce new products.
