Lead and manage the technology governance and risk management program.

As the leader that manages the Technology governance and risk management program, this role will be responsible for managing the overall IT governance and risk management program for Ameritas by:

* Supporting & influencing the management of technology policies, including risk & compliance management, * Overseeing the technology risk categorization and risk tolerance process by providing Risk reporting and modeling.  * Liaising with the business lines and shared services teams to build their understanding of Ameritas technology risks.  * Co-chairing Technology Risk Council representing Technology for Enterprise Risk Management. * Promoting the strategic relationships between sourcing vendors and partner organizations to extend partner capabilities into Ameritas’ technology ecosystem.

The role will also provide advice on key technology decisions including procurement of technology (centered around technology modernization, optimization, and consolidation).

What you do

* Lead and manage the establishment of strategic, operational, and technical decision-making process required to ensure that Technology & Technology related services are aligned to the organization’s priorities and risk appetite. * Execute and mature the IT Governance program, processes, and practices at Ameritas * Develop and implement processes to assess and/or monitor the effectiveness of IT standards and policies as appropriate. * Function as the single point of IT management contact for key elements such as enterprise Technology policy governance, and Technology risk management * Ensure visibility, escalation, and management of inherent IT risks. * Monitor key performance and risk indicators; and escalate when breaches in triggers or limits take place. * Through analysis, advise on performance against established risk tolerance and performance objectives. * Develop frameworks and processes to ensure that IT activities support enterprise business objectives within its established risk tolerance. * Work collaboratively with other corporate oversight functions to identify and implement consistent and effective approaches to risk governance and control-based activities. * Maintain strong and effective working relationships with all areas of Ameritas. * Maintain the overall technology management processes, practices, and guidelines. * Maintain and update the Enterprise Knowledgebase for Technology as required.

What you bring

* 3-5 years of experience with IT Project Management (PMO) and IT governance * 3-5 years of experience with IT strategy and design disciplines, including enterprise architecture, IT investment management, and/or IT project management * Experience in creating/maintaining policy and supporting documentation * Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks * Ability to quickly switch tasks, multi-task, be highly organized and detail oriented * Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Ability to adapt communication style to effectively work with multiple levels within an organization including experience preparing high visibility, executive level presentation materials * The ability to determine course of action to solve various roadblocks processing initiative requests related to supporting business requests
