Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking Business Analyst. Join our team and utilize both legacy and modern, open-source technologies to develop, deliver and support applications for our clients while leveraging concepts of Lean, Agile, Kanban and SAFe. Our clients are some of the world's leading companies and the candidate will be a part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs. Our client is looking to modernize and build integrated front-end and back-end enterprise solutions. This position will focus on modernizing and modularizing the mainframe solutions using macro, mini and microservices and APIs in a DevOps continuous delivery environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst will be involved in business troubleshooting and implementing Agile Analysis, which includes communicating with stakeholders, working with development teams to create appropriate software, providing direct feedback to teams, and using a quick and personal approach to solve business issues. Other duties include but may not be limited to:

  • Analyzes plans, directs and coordinates the activities of designated projects to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished

  • Provides management, organizational and business improvement services, business strategy planning, policy analysis, organizational design, costbenefit analysis, change management and business/organizational transformation solutions

  • Designs and implements complex organizational change that addresses strategic, structural, process and behavioral factors

  • Develops strategic plans, business plans, organizational assessments, cultural change programs and business process improvements

  • Conducts enterprise assessment, defines gaps and recommends methodology, tools and resources to develop solutions

  • Assists governmental agencies in implementing the Government Performance and Results Act in strategic planning, and the Executive Order directed towards labor management partnership

  • Provides leadership in government and industry meetings, briefings and forums to facilitate the exchange of ideas and concepts

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Health and Human Services, Public Sector, Federal or State and Local experience is preferred

  • Background and competency in requirements development, analysis, independent verification and validation

  • Previous IT testing and/or QA testing

  • Knowledge of POA&M management

  • Demonstrated experience with communication architectures

  • Ability to work within a structured Systems Engineering process environment including a task-oriented, value-based management system

  • Ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams of program management and system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers

  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Microsoft Project, engineering tools (e.g., DOORS) and peer review products

  • Direct experience with and/or working knowledge of Environmental Tests including requirements analysis, procedure development, test conduct and evaluation of results.

  • Proposal support experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)

  • Direct experience with and/or working knowledge of field support activities

  • Agile/Scrum program experience

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and be able to communicate effectively

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required

  • SAFe, Agile certifications desired
