Job Description:
As an Inventory Control Manager at US Foods, you will play a
pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our vast inventory
network, supporting our commitment to excellence in foodservice
distribution. This role involves overseeing the accuracy and
efficiency of inventory levels across multiple distribution
centers, ensuring that over 350,000 products, including premium
private label brands, are effectively managed to meet the needs of
approximately 300,000 restaurants and foodservice operators
nationwide. Your expertise in inventory management will help us
maintain the seamless flow of products from our warehouses to our
clients, facilitating their success and in turn, ours. Develop and
implement inventory control systems and procedures Monitor and
report on inventory levels and discrepancies Coordinate with
warehouse, procurement, and logistics departments to optimize
inventory processes Conduct regular audits and generate detailed
reports on inventory performance Train and manage inventory staff
to ensure adherence to company policies Collaborate with other
department managers to streamline supply chain and meet company
objectives Lead continuous improvement initiatives in inventory
management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency
in inventory management software and databases Excellent
organizational and leadership abilities Effective communication and
interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and manage
deadlines Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., CPIM from
APICS) Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
