Job Description:
At US Foods, a leader in the foodservice distribution industry,
we are seeking an experienced Fleet and Facilities Manager to
oversee our fleet operations and physical plant management. This
crucial role ensures that our distribution operations stay
seamless, supporting the delivery of over 350,000 product lines to
our expansive network of customers. The successful candidate will
manage all aspects of vehicle maintenance and facility upkeep,
ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational
efficiency. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability
to collaborate with various departments to meet the logistic needs
of our dynamic business. Direct and coordinate the installation,
maintenance, and repair of all fleet vehicles and facility
equipment. Develop and implement efficient preventative maintenance
schedules for all operational assets. Manage relationships with
contractors and service providers, ensuring services delivered are
timely and meet quality standards. Ensure compliance with all
safety, environmental, and operational standards and regulations.
Administer fleet replacement programs and negotiate with suppliers
to optimize cost-effectiveness. Oversee the training and
development of the facilities and fleet staff. Prepare, analyze,
and report on fleet and facilities budgets and expenditures. Strong
leadership and project management skills Deep knowledge of
mechanical systems and vehicle operations Proficient in the use of
fleet management software Excellent organizational and time
management skills Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to analyze large sets of data and make informed decisions
