Intern - Solution Developer (SPRING)

The Solution Developer Intern works on Acxiom and third-party
software to build solutions for business problems defined by
specific business requirements. In this internship, you will tackle
real-time platform problems for our clients' solutions. You may
configure or tune software, work on automation processes to tie
components together, develop custom application code to accommodate
defined requirements, or collaborate with others to add extensions
to existing Acxiom software. You may also provide new development,
ongoing maintenance, and support and optimization of solutions for
the account teams you are supporting. You will have opportunities
to learn a variety of platforms and solve different kinds of
problems throughout the internship.
The internship will begin on January 9, 2023
Our intention is to have interns work on-site in Conway, Arkansas
if possible. However, your internship may be a hybrid methond or
fully remote. We plan to transition interns to on-site work when
teams transition back into the office, but we currently do not have
a timeline for this transition
Up to 40 hours/week work dedication during summer and breaks,
20-25/week during the semester
Anticipated graduation May 2023 - December 2024
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Build, improve, or integrate programs and processes for Acxiom
Client solutions and/or applications
Read and interpret application design and functional specifications
to write application code
Provide consultation on functional requirements and participate in
reviewing code in code review sessions
Define solutions standards, policies and procedures
Identify and diagnose areas of maintenance, performance issues, and
Use pertinent software language, develop/execute unit test cases
and test software applications that fulfill functional
specifications using an IDE: Document and interpret test results
and correct application coding errors
Complete application development task for short duration
programming requirements with limited assistance
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related
Programming language experience (object-oriented, procedural)
Superb communication skills: demonstrable ability to communicate
ideas clearly and effectively to other members of the development
Coding experience and success
Ability to follow requirements and create logical solutions
