Cyclonaire is currently looking for a Controls Programmer 1 to join
our team.
Job Summary
The Controls Programmer 1 is responsible for automation controls
programming and pre-shipment testing for various types of equipment
and applications under the direction of a senior programmer. This
role will be able to carry out its functions in accordance with
Cyclonaire's Core Values.
Essential Functions
Programming complete system automation controls under the direction
of a senior programmer
Equipment set-up and pre-shipment quality assurance testing to
ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and
operational testing conform to functional specifications and
customer requirements
Assist the development of our Standards, Work Instructions, and
Procedures
Basic Controls programming with Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Beckhoff
TwinCat3, and other automation development platforms
Develop user manuals and other customer documentation
Perform I/O check out, start-up, and commissioning on-site
Drafting and electrical controls drawings including Panel layouts,
Line Diagrams, Pull Wire Diagrams, Network Layouts, and Bill of
Materials documents
Read and understand detailed electronic design specifications,
technical drawings, and customer specifications
Willingness to grow in your position through on the job learning,
self-study in new technologies, development techniques, and
programming languages
Other duties as assigned
Competencies: Must be able to work independently and on a team in a
fast-paced industry. Must have the ability to manage multiple
projects simultaneously. Must have the ability to prioritize and
manage workload while meeting critical timelines with high
expectations from internal and external customers. Problem-solving
and critical thinking skills are required. Excellent oral and
written communication skills are required to communicate
effectively with team members and customers on a professional
level, exercising tact and discretion. Must be able to work in
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft
Teams.
Education / Experience: AAS Degree in a technical field or
equivalent is required. Experience using Allen Bradly Studio 5000,
Modicon Control/Machine Expert, Ignition, MS Visual Studio,
Beckhoff TwinCat, and AutoCAD/AutoCad Electrical is preferred.
Experience with electrical controls including motor control
circuits, safety circuits, power supplies, Programmable Logic
Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, and other industrial
automation equipment with the ability to specify and configure them
appropriately is preferred. Experience with multiple IEC 61131-3
standards i.e., Ladder, Structured Text, and FBD is desired.
Physical Demands: Requires frequent touching, grasping, and feeling
of physical equipment. Talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are
required. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching,
standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Work requires
constant visual ability. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Work Environment: Clean and climate-controlled office environment
in a manufacturing facility.
Travel Requirements: Travel may be required 10-30% of the time both
domestic and international. Must have a valid, passport, driver's
license, and a driving record that permits the use of company
automobiles.
Safety: Safety shoes (steel or composite toe), safety glasses,
hearing protection, gloves, and other forms of Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) as required in designated areas and on customer
sites.
Other Duties: Safe work performance is always required from each
employee. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner
in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals. Required
to wear or use PPE as applicable and to immediately report unsafe
working conditions. Understanding and adhering to Cyclonaire Core
