Job Description Shift Supervisor - Lincoln, NEThis is a full-time, exempt position.Position Summary:This position will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the departments on shift.
This position will be responsible for overseeing multiple production lines.
The supervisor will be a quality champion and a driver of process efficiency. This position reports to the packaging superintendent.Job Responsibilities:Safety: responsible for maximizing a safe working environment for our employees, contractors, and visitors.Comply with laws and regulationsPersonally demonstrate your commitment to safetyDevelop team's commitment to safety including the tools provided to create a safe work environment.Quality and Sanitation: responsible for maintaining an environment that assures our customers receive a wholesome and safe product delivered to their specifications by ensuring all quality assurance and food safety programs are enforced.Correct quality issuesProactively address quality issuesEnsure HACCP documentation requirements are met, and documentation is in line with FSMA regulationsManage sanitation aspects of departmentsCompliance with Environmental Programs: Ensure that all environmental protection programs are followed to assure a safe work environment and to sustain ADM's reputation as a good corporate neighbor.Proactively manage the environmental aspects of your areaProfitability and Production Efficiency: This position is accountable for managing the production areas in a manner that will help achieve the goal of safely packaging, storing and handling material and reducing waste.Reduce cost and operating expenseRegularly review the production cost of all productsReduce or eliminate production barriersManage efforts to reduce or eliminate wasteAsset management and preservationWorkplace Quality: Sustain a workplace that embraces the value of each employee and supports their well-being.Comply with laws and regulationsDevelop a workplace that is rewarding to all employeesTake personal responsibility for the reasonable comfort and well-being of employees in the departmentEmployee Development: Create a work environment that capitalizes on employee knowledge, skill and ability.Sponsor and direct the orientation, familiarization and training of new employeesSupport orientation and training programsCommunication and Teamwork: Communicate frequently with the plant scheduler and other department supervisors.Foster positive working relationships between departmentsCreate an environment where information and ideas flow freely between all levels of employeesJob Requirements:2 years of plant experience preferred; previous packaging, maintenance, and/or bulk loading experience is a plus.High School diploma or GED required.Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures (previous safety committee and/or other safety leadership experience is a plus).Excited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
