Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,314 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Nursing License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Ability to work in a fast-paced unit. - Positive attitude and strong critical thinking skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Description: This unit requires a high level of care for complex patients. RNs will manage a variety of diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, and renal failure among others. The nurse to patient ratios are 1:1-2 in the ICU setting. Nurses will be responsible for titrating drips and managing advanced therapeutic equipment. There is a charge nurse on each shift who also attends rapid response teams and codes. Nurses will float to other inpatient units as needed, excluding specific areas. Scrub color is navy blue. Weekend and holiday shifts are required based on the needs of the unit. Teamwork and the willingness to assist others are crucial for success in this role. Nurses are expected to ask questions and engage in continuous learning to provide high-quality care. Telemetry monitoring will be managed without tech support, and nurses must interpret the readings independently.
