working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Omaha,
Nebraska, 68124! Job Title: CVICU RN Profession: RN (Registered
Nurse) Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2
years with this patient population License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must have 1 year of experience
with open heart and complex thoracic patients. Description: This
position requires the RN to work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care
unit. The RN will care for patients recovering from common and
advanced cardiac surgeries. Common diagnoses include open heart
surgery, complex thoracic and vascular patients. Patients may be
stabilized and supported by devices such as impella, IABP, CRRT,
and ECMO. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1. The RN is responsible
for titrating medications, including vasopressors, paralytics, and
sedation. There is a charge nurse present on each shift. The unit
will not have nurse aids or patient care techs. A hospitalist
and/or intensivist will be in-house 24/7. Respiratory therapists
and RNs will collaborate closely with technology. RNs must read and
interpret telemetry strips as there are no tele/monitor techs.
Shifts will be scheduled from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM to 6:30
AM. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required based on
unit needs. RNs may float to other inpatient units, excluding
maternity and NICU. Navy blue scrubs are required for attire.
Additional time off will not be approved after initial request. The
hospital can cancel up to four shifts during the assignment.
Charting will be performed using an electronic records system. This
role does not require a BSN degree. Candidates must hold valid
certifications in ACLS and BLS. 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing
