Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68130!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS,
BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates may not be full-time, part-time,
or PRN with any related facilities. Description: This position
requires passing an exam during orientation. The exam is open book
and covers skills learned. A minimum score of 90% is required to
pass. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination.
The unit typically cares for adult patients, including those with
mixed medical/surgical conditions and cardiac or stroke patients.
Registered nurses are responsible for titrating drips, including
Heparin, Octreotide, and insulin. There is a charge nurse on each
shift who also takes an assignment. Patient care technicians are
available in a ratio of 1:14. Specialty equipment is available,
including code carts and LUCAS machines. Registered nurses must be
able to read and interpret telemetry. The unit has a high flow of
patients, with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Teamwork and a positive attitude are essential in this environment.
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Holiday shifts
will be rotated with permanent staff. Floating to other departments
may be required based on patient care needs. The dress code
requires navy blue scrubs. This role is for a fast-paced setting
