working with Cynet Health to find a qualified MICU RN in Omaha,
Nebraska, 68105! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Medical ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a
large, urban hospital setting required. License: Active RN License
required. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred. Must-Have:
- EPIC charting experience required. - Experience with drips
required on all floors. - Previous charge experience preferred. -
Travel experience required. Description: This position involves
working in a 20-bed critical care unit that provides care to
critically ill patients. The staff delivers expert care for a
variety of medical conditions including respiratory failure, acute
and chronic kidney failure, liver failure, overdoses, and septic
shock. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:2-3 during the day and 1:2-3
at night. Floating to other areas will be necessary to meet
facility needs. RNs must be prepared to float frequently, which may
include floating to different campuses. Weekend shifts include
working 4 weekends out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Travelers
must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. 100% nicotine-free facility.
RTO must be submitted with the application, with a restriction of
up to two weeks. All travelers must adhere to the facility
guidelines and comply with the COVID-19 vaccination requirement.
The workweek runs from Monday to Sunday, with all contracts ending
on a Sunday. Professional scrubs are mandatory. This hospital is a
leading facility providing care to some of the most complex
patients, with a strong emphasis on research and advanced medical
education. Interdisciplinary support is provided, including IV
teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and
more. Additional responsibilities may include patient management,
ventilator management, and IV administration. Travelers must attend
a mandatory charting class during the first week. Candidates must
provide proof of licensure within 48 hours of acceptance. 5
