Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
ICU/Critical Care RN in Kearney, Nebraska, 68847! Job Title: ICU
Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ICU
(Intensive Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Fingernail policy -
Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing
patient care. Must receive a 90% to pass the exam during
orientation or will be terminated. Description: Unit includes 33
beds with an average daily census of 16. Nurse-to-patient ratios
are 1:2-3 for adults. Common diagnoses include trauma, cardiac
events, overdose/substance abuse, adult sepsis, post-stent care,
pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart
failure, and respiratory distress. RNs are required to titrate
drips, including any cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation. Nurse
aides are available based on census and may assist on the floor as
needed. Healthcare support staff available during weekdays. RNs are
expected to troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including vents and
high flow devices. Shifts run from 0630-1830 and 1830-0630.
Self-scheduling is allowed for core staff. Floating to other units
may occur, typically to PCU or MedSurg. RNs will take the same
patient ratios typically assigned in those units. Mandatory holiday
requirement includes a minimum of 2 holidays within the contract
timeframe. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. Charting
system utilized is EPIC. BSN is required for submission. Trauma
designation is Level 2. Work is conducted in an acute care setting.
