Job Description Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel
nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in
Kearney, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU
- Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 -
Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days -
Employment Type: Travel Internal Job Description Radius Rule: 50
miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with
any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or
Dignity. Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to
determine if candidate is outside 50 miles. Fingernail policy:
Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing
patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of
contract * * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Wednesdays during
orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all
necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they
will be terminated * * will not approve blocked scheduling unless
it's weekends only, I can ask. They also will not take duos that
want same schedule or share car. Department: ICU RN
*Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS* - of Beds: 33 beds, average
daily census is 16 - Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults -
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Trauma, cardiac,
overdose/substance abuse, Adults sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker
placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure,
respiratory distress - Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes -
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Any cardiac drip,
insulin, sedation Nurse Aides: yes- based on census, will sit in
1:1s or assist on the floor as needed based on volume, Healthcare
Support tech 3 days per week (M-F) 0800-1630 - RT Equipment (Vents,
Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with
these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to vent Shifts &
Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?):
0630-1830, 1830-0630 // Self scheduling for core staff, travelers
added in. Unable to guarantee block scheduling Monitors/Tele: yes,
RNs are required to read/interpret/document strips, monitor brand
is GE, tele tech oversight of monitors as well Floating: Typically
PCU, occasionally MedSurg- will take same ratio of patients
typically assigned on these units (1:4 or 1:5) Holiday
requirements: minimum of 2 holidays that fall within contract time
frame - Weekend Requirements: Every other - How many shifts of
unit/department specific orientation?: 1 shift RTO needed upfront
(7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be
