Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Kearney, NE Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $1,898 to $2,092 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN (Registered Nurse) - PCU City/State: Kearney, Nebraska Shift: 12H Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00 Contract Length: 12 weeks Start Date: 03/02/2026 Job Description: The registered nurse will work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), providing care to adult patients with cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent and pacer placement, and renal failure conditions. The nurse is expected to be competent in arterial lines and must titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin. Responsibilities: Provide patient care for PCU unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 Titrate medication drips as required Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips Collaborate with charge nurses and aids/techs on shift Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed Participate in 1 day of unit-specific orientation Requirements: Active RN license Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Competency in arterial lines Driver’s license for radius verification Pass open book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Core Mandatory Part I Core Mandatory Part II (Nursing) Core Mandatory Part III Dysrhythmia: Basics A NIHSS PCU RN Basic Math Assessment RN Pharmacology
