05-18-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day); 8- or 10-hour day shifts
beginning at 7:00 AM, same schedule week-to-week; plus an on-call
rotation (10-15 days/month) that includes nights and weekends —
15-minute call response; day shift with rotating on-call
responsibilities Hours per Week: 40 Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per

Responsibilities Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the
Cardiovascular Operating Room for CABG, vascular and thoracic cases
Assist and support open heart procedures while maintaining strict
sterile technique and patient safety Collaborate with surgeons,
anesthesiologists and OR techs to coordinate efficient,
high-quality surgical care Document accurately and timely in Epic
to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance Respond to
on-call activations within a 15-minute window and manage call
responsibilities professionally Float to general OR cases
(including orthopedics, urology and ENT) when not assigned to CV
cases Participate in unit orientation, skills validation and the
required pass/fail exam to demonstrate competency Qualifications
Current, unrestricted RN license eligible for practice in Nebraska
Minimum 2 years of OR or perioperative nursing experience, with
demonstrable cardiovascular/CVOR exposure BLS and ACLS
certifications required and current Driver's license required at
time of submission (used to confirm radius eligibility) Able to
pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with a 90% score
(this is mandatory) Must not be currently employed full-time,
part-time or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility
(including CHI or Dignity) Education Active RN license; BSN not
required Knowledge & Skills Strong familiarity with Epic charting
and perioperative documentation workflows Experienced with open
heart procedures (CABG) and vascular/thoracic surgical care
Comfortable working within a busy CVOR environment and supporting
multiple suites Ability to manage call duties and prioritize urgent
activations quickly Skilled at cross-covering general OR case types
such as orthopedics, urology and ENT Excellent communication and
