Roles & Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a Med-Surg Telemetry unit Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips, responding quickly to changes Administer medications and manage IV therapy using Alaris pumps with safe practice Document accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity of care Support post-surgical and medically complex patients (HF, diabetes, HTN, cancer) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans Float to specialty units (acute rehab, geriatric psych) as needed to support staffing Participate in orientation learning and pass the skills competency assessment Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience Current BLS certification required at time of submission Driver's license required at submittal (used for radius rule verification) Must meet facility immunization requirements (Covid vaccination status requested) Comfortable with Epic charting and Alaris IV pump operation Positive attitude, strong teamwork and communication skills; patient-focused Korean language ability is a plus; pediatrics experience not required Education Active RN license (degree not specifically required by this posting) Knowledge & Skills Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition Medical-surgical nursing best practices and post-op care Epic electronic medical record proficiency Safe IV pump (Alaris) operation and medication administration Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and patient advocacy Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Flexibility to float between units and adapt to varied patient populations Benefits Generous housing stipend and travel support to make relocation easy Medical, Dental & Vision coverage to keep you and your family healthy 401K retirement savings plan so you can plan for the future Life insurance and disability benefits for peace of mind Paid Time Off to recharge after busy assignments Travel reimbursement and licensure assistance to simplify logistics Referral bonus program — bring a friend and get rewarded A supportive team that values YOU and fosters professional growth Travel Perks: Explore Omaha, NE Explore Omaha in your off time: visit the world-class Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, stroll the historic Old Market with its shops and restaurants, walk the scenic Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, relax at Lauritzen Gardens, or learn local history at the Durham Museum.
