Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology – UHC Staffing Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology Location: Omaha, NE Start Date: 03-02-2026 End Date: 06-01-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Day). Cyclic scheduling with a 4x10s pattern; call rotation 10-13 days per month including weekends and holidays. Roles & Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Interventional Radiology setting Assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure to ensure safety and optimal outcomes Collaborate with the IR team, including neuro IR techs and physicians, during diagnostics and procedures like thrombectomies and stent placements Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to maintain continuity of care Perform and assist with IV starts, patient transport, and procedural preparation Participate in call rotation and respond promptly to department needs, including occasional floats to nearby sites Maintain compliance with unit policies (including fingernail/artificial nail policy) and complete required competencies and orientation exams Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in Interventional Radiology, ICU, or ER (required) Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS preferred Valid driver’s license required at time of submittal (used for radius verification) Comfortable with call rotations and occasional floating within Radiology Education Active RN license required BSN not required Knowledge & Skills Proficient charting and documentation in EPIC Experience with Siemens Artis Icono or similar IR imaging equipment Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills, especially in neuro/IR cases IV starts and procedural support skills Ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly under pressure Professionalism, reliability, flexibility, and a patient-oriented approach Benefits Comprehensive travel support to make your assignment smooth and stress-free Generous housing and travel assistance so you can focus on patient care Licensure assistance and reimbursement to help keep your credentials current Robust onboarding and a 2-week unit-specific orientation to set you up for success A collaborative, professional team that values reliability, flexibility, and a patient-first mindset Opportunities to expand skills working with EPIC and Siemens Artis Icono Flexible scheduling options and predictable block/cyclic schedules Supportive clinical leadership and access to ongoing training resources Travel Perks: Explore Omaha, NE Explore Omaha’s highlights on your downtime: wander the Old Market’s shops and eateries, visit the world-renowned Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, stroll the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and enjoy riverfront views, relax in Lauritzen Gardens, and check out the Joslyn Art Museum and Durham Museum.
