Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,368 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: CVICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 1 year experience with cardiac patient population Description: The unit is a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1. Common diagnoses include open heart, complex thoracic and vascular cases. Patients are stabilized and supported by impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO. RN's are required to titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics. There is a charge nurse on each shift who does not take an assignment. No patient care techs or CNAs are available on this unit. Hospitalists and intensivists are in-house 24/7. RNs must troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment. RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips. Shifts are 0630-1830 and 1830-0630, with scheduling managed by the unit manager. Weekend requirements are every other week. Holiday requirements are also every other week or as needed based on unit needs. RNs will float to all inpatient units, excluding maternity and NICU. The dress code is navy blue scrubs. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off will be approved upfront for a 13-week contract. Additional requests for time off will not be approved after submissions. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
