Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Kearney, NE Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,200 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Kearney, Nebraska, 68845! ID: 74954158 Shift: 12H Days 12 hr days Description: Unit Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Wednesdays during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * will not approve blocked scheduling unless it's weekends only, I can ask. They also will not take duos that want same schedule or share car.Department: ICU RN*Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS of Beds: 33 beds, average daily census is 16- Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, Adults sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedationNurse Aides: yes- based on census, will sit in 1:1s or assist on the floor as needed based on volume, Healthcare Support tech 3 days per week (M-F) 0800-1630- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to vent Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1830, 1830-0630 // Self scheduling for core staff, travelers added in. Unable to guarantee block schedulingMonitors/Tele: yes, RNs are required to read/interpret/document strips, monitor brand is GE, tele tech oversight of monitors as wellFloating: Typically PCU, occasionally MedSurg- will take same ratio of patients typically assigned on these units (1:4 or 1:5)Holiday requirements: minimum of 2 holidays that fall within contract time frame- Weekend Requirements: Every other- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 shiftRTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
