Surgical Tech Location: Kearney, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,986 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: OR (Operating Room) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours plus call Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, CST preferred (not required) Must-Have: Orthopedic trauma experience Description: We are seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist to join our team. Candidates must be proficient in neuro and capable of independently performing cranial procedures. Experience in total joint and level II trauma is essential. Candidates should have orthopedic trauma, orthopedic total, and general OR experience. The ability to scrub is required. Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments. Refusal to remove nails will result in termination of contract. The OR consists of 11 surgical suites and averages 18 cases per day. Common cases include orthopedics, urology, ENT, neuro, and backs. Techs must be able to conduct cranial procedures independently. Experience with robotic systems such as Davinci, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis is preferred. There is no scrubbing requirement for RNs. Management and charge nurses are present on each shift, with no room assignments for them. Self-scheduling is somewhat available, with shifts starting at 7:00 AM Monday through Friday and maintaining a consistent schedule weekly. One weeknight call is required, spanning from the end of the shift until 7:00 AM the following morning. Three weekend days per month are required, with 24-hour call shifts as needed. The call response time is 15 minutes. There are no floating requirements. Scrubs are provided. Orientation consists of one week. We value a strong work ethic, hustle, and a willingness to advocate for patient safety. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude. Flexibility is essential, and candidates must be willing to float and work as needed. Note that block scheduling or fixed shifts for travel duos are not approved. The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment. Charting is done using the EPIC system.
