Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro PCU Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,318 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro PCU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, CPI, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Experience with mixed acuity patients - Ability to care for patients ranging from Medical Surgical to Telemetry and Stepdown Description: The unit is a multi-care level unit specializing in neurology and neurosurgery. Registered Nurses should be prepared to care for up to five Med Surg patients. The unit consists of 48 beds with specialized patient populations including strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, brain and spinal cord tumors, and other neurological conditions. Patient ratios include 1:5 for Medical Surgical/Telemetry during the day and 1:6 at night. Stepdown Ratios are 1:3-4, days and nights. Drips are required for all floors. First-time travelers are not accepted, except those with 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center. Floating within scope may be necessary to meet facility needs. The clinical team includes CNAs, care techs, a transport team, paramedics, and LPNs. Travelers must work 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period, including Saturday and Sunday days. Additional requests for time off may be considered at the discretion of management. Travelers are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during their contract. This facility is a fully nicotine-free environment. All staff must adhere to the facility’s uniform requirements. Compliance documents must be completed before the start of the contract. Travelers should be prepared for potential floating to meet staffing needs across various units. The unit provides care to adults and geriatric patients. With an emphasis on advanced neurological care, this role involves managing various medical conditions and interventions.
