status Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a
fast-paced medical/surgical unit. It provides care to trauma
patients with acute and chronic needs. You will be expected to have
a patient ratio of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night.
Occasionally, night ratios may increase to 1:7 based on staff
availability. It is mandatory to possess EPIC charting experience
and 2 years of nursing experience. First-time travelers will not be
accepted unless they have 2 years of experience at a major academic
medical center. Floating to different units may be necessary to
meet staffing needs. Team support includes CNAs, care techs,
transport team, and paramedics. Flexibility with requested time off
is allowed, with up to two weeks permitted. Travelers must work 2
of the 3 major holidays during their contract. This is a 100%
nicotine-free environment. Required health protocols may include
COVID-19 vaccination unless there is a valid medical or religious
exemption. The facility does not accept local candidates. Traveling
professionals are required to wear specific designated scrubs
during their shifts. All contracts must conclude on a Sunday. Prior
to the start date, compliance documentation must be provided. All
applicants must possess the necessary licenses and certifications
