Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Must pass an exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher. Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit. The role involves caring for adults and geriatrics with various medical needs, including wound care and IV antibiotics. Occasional pediatric patients may also be treated. The unit typically has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4. Nurse aides and patient care technicians are available, with a ratio of 1:8. Self-scheduling is allowed with manager approval, and weekend requirements are at least every third week. Holiday rotation will be based on unit needs. Nurses may be required to float to assist in other areas as needed. Scrub colors are navy blue. A collaborative team-oriented approach is essential for success in this role. Candidates should be prepared to work in a dynamic environment that promotes teamwork and support among staff and ancillary departments. Limited time off requests will be approved upfront. The hospital may cancel up to four shifts during the assignment period. The charting system used is EPIC. BSN is not required for submission, but a valid nursing license is necessary. Candidates must have the required certifications to be considered.
