TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Kearney, Nebraska, 68847! Pay Information $2,290 per week About The Position Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: RN must pass an exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher to remain employed. Description: We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The unit has 33 beds, with an average daily census of 16 patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3 for adults. Common patient diagnoses include adults with sepsis, post-stent care, pacemaker placements, strokes, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress. RNs are required to titrate drips, including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation. Health Support Technicians are available during weekdays from 08:00 to 16:30. RNs may need to troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as vents and high-flow oxygen. Registered Nurses are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips. Shifts are scheduled from 06:30 to 18:30 and 18:30 to 06:30. Self-scheduling is available for core staff, with travelers being added in as needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, and holiday coverage is rotated based on the weekend group. Floating to the Progressive Care Unit or Medical Surgical Unit may occur. The unit provides 3 shifts of department-specific orientation. Requests for time off should be limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional requests for time off will not be approved. Shifts may be canceled by the hospital up to 4 times for a 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required for submission.
