Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 06/30/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Location: Cozad, NE Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Pay Rate: $ 48 - $ 50/ hour On W2 Job Summary: we are seeking experienced and compassionate Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurses for night shifts. This role involves floating to Med/Surg units as needed. Ideal candidates will have prior rural hospital experience and be adaptable to a dynamic care environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in accordance with established hospital procedures and protocols. Float between Med/Surg units based on staffing needs. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide patient/family education. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Respond to emergency situations, including rapid response and use of cardiac monitoring equipment. Certifications: Licensure: Active RN license (Compact or Nebraska). Pending license accepted; valid license required before start. Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Med/Surg environment. Rural hospital experience strongly preferred. BLS (Required) Charting System Experience: Experience with TruBridge or Evident preferred.
