  • A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for a Night Med/Surg RN, 36 hours guaranteed.
  • 1 years of unit experience.
  • Contract is 13 weeks.

      • Schedule Information
      • 36 hours guaranteed.
      • Shifts: 0630-1900, 1830-0700.
      • Weekend Requirement: As needed.
      • Holiday Requirement: As needed.
      • No Call or Standby requirement.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Beds: 42.
        • Ratios: 1:5-6.
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Medical, surgical, and orthopedics.
        • Charge Nurse takes assignment: Yes.
        • Any titratable drips: NO, except Heparin.
        • RT 24 hours on the floor.
        • Tele's on the floor, centralized Tele station.
        • Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit.
        • Floating Requirements: PCU or Burn.
        • Unit/department specific orientation: First week is classroom and then 2-12 hour shifts on the floor.
          • Additional Details
          • Beds: 42.
          • Ratios: 1:5-6.
          • How often are staff taking a 1:6 ratio?: At least once a week.
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Medical, surgical, and orthopedics.
          • Charge Nurse presence on each shift and whether they take an assignment.

          • RT is 24 hours on the floor.
          • Tele's on the floor, but there is a centralized Tele station.
          • Nurse aids/patient care techs ratios and duties.
          • Floating Requirements: PCU or Burn.
          • Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided: Navy blue.
          • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: First week is classroom and then 2-12 hour shifts on the floor.
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
