communities.Job DescriptionGM Energy is seeking to hire a Product
Manager who will support the development and launch of Ultium
Commercial products. These products, including stationary energy
storage, are critical to expand electric vehicle and renewable
generation adoption, reduce energy costs, and improve resiliency
for fleet and commercial customers.The Product Manager is a
business development role focused on product management and
execution. This team members primary responsibility will be to
enable the execution and launch of high priority energy products,
with a focus on product cost and sourcing. The team member will
also work to identify and propose future generation product
improvements and manufacturing and supply chain innovation
opportunities. Due to the nature of the small, but growing team,
additional day to day responsibilities shall be expected. This

- Carry out day to day activity required to enable the on time
and cost-effective execution of Ultium Commercial energy products,
including stationary energy storageProduct Development
- Track the programs adherence to agreed product requirements and
identify / report if cost or scope creep occur
- Enable issue resolution across teams and balance competing
priorities from internal stakeholders to deliver a customer-centric
product
- Support the development of detailed BOM cost models,
development timelines, and product availability schedules for new
products
- Work closely with engineering and supply chain to execute
material sourcing and track compliance with product
requirements
- Communicate clearly with leadership to ensure awareness of
progress, successes, risks, and concerns
- Support the development of tactical action plans to
successfully design and deliver energy products
- Work cross functionally with engineering, supply chain, sales,
marketing, and quality teams to reduce risks, meet product cost
targets, and release products to manufacturing that are configured
for efficient assembly
- As needed, assist in the selection and qualification of new
components and suppliersProduct Definition
- Help define future generation product requirements and
execution strategies, learning from near term product development
activity while soliciting feedback and input from cross functional
team members
- With technical and commercial guidance from others, develop and
obtain consensus on future product requirements, specifications and
performance requirements based on qualitative and quantitative
analysis of customer and market needs
- Support or lead continuous customer empathy interviews and
competitive product research
- As needed, support energy market research and analysis to
inform the teams sales and growth strategyAdditional Job
DescriptionRequired Skills / Experience / Education:
- Proven ability to operate at the interface between technical
and commercial teams to develop and deliver products
- Comfortability to operate effectively in a fast pace, dynamic
start up environment with limited oversight
- Strong organizational skills with proven track record of
efficiently executing work to completion at a high level of
quality
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills required to
effectively collaborate, motivate, and facilitate others in group
situations
- Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering or business field.
Significant working and industry experience will be considered in
lieu of educational degree(s)
- 4-6 years of prior professional experience required, with
preference for experience working with battery and/or energy
related technologies
- Proven customer-centric focus amidst competing priorities
- Creative and innovative mindset with a relentless focus on
continuous improvement
- Ability to learn and understand battery technology, energy
concepts, and power systems to make technical and business
recommendations to leadership
- Ability to learn and understand stationary energy storage
engineering standards, policies, regulatory standards, and
procedures and their implications on product requirements
- Highly proficient in oral and written communication skills
- Team player attitude internally and externally
- Strong computer software skills, especially Microsoft Office,
including MS Project
- Willing to participate in occasional conference calls outside
of typical business hours to support discussions with international
stakeholder(s)
- Demonstrated ability working with internationally based teams
with cultural and language differences
- Willing to travel 10-20% of the time, as necessary to client
project, vendor, company affiliate, jobsite, and/or event
locationsCompensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is: (86,460 -
141,060 USD Annual) .Actual base compensation within the identified
range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based
on company performance, job level, and individual
