Midwest Medical is one of the largest and fastest-growing professional ambulance services and is currently seeking qualified leaders to join our Team!!!This position will be a working manager position (performing patient transports) during our growth/start up phases. Maintain day to day inventory and supply ordering2. Schedules preventive maintenance / vehicle repairs and ensures vehicle problems areaddressed with Fleet Director3. Ensures all files, manuals, etc. at station are maintained in good order and are current4. Responsible for scheduling, hiring, evaluating, managing and disciplining stationemployees5. Responsible for preparation and timely submission of timesheets and otherdocumentation required for payroll6. Networking with area hospitals to continuously improve our service and build strongpartnerships with customers7. Provide basic or advanced life support treatment of patients8. Work with in the managers licensed scope of practice9. Leads, guides, and/or assists in training of lower level personnel and/or students, asspecifically assigned10. Safely operate and maintain an emergency vehicle while in compliance with all lawspertaining to the operation of an emergency vehicle while transporting patients11. Render competent patient care in both pre-hospital and inter-facility setting12. Thorough knowledge of EMS procedures and ability to integrate knowledge andperformance into practical situations13. Interact professionally with other health care personnel14. Interact professionally with disabled, disadvantaged, sick and injured persons15. Work as part of a team16. Accurately and completely document information required in EMS charts, includingPCRs, daily vehicle inspections, and daily inventory checks17. Assists other EMS providers with EMS care18. Give report verbally or in writing to higher healthcare facilities19. Clean the equipment, check and replace the used and damaged supplies20. Compliance with all company and local agency policies, procedures, and applicableprotocols for emergency treatment and transportation21. Attend refresher programs and continuing education required by medical director22. Maintain a clean appearance, demonstrating courteous, professional and ethical behavior
Competencies1. Ability to manage a group of EMS providers2. Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, tolerance for high stress3. Possess good verbal communication skills4. Ability to deal with adverse situationsActive EMT-B, EMT-I or Paramedic certifications in the state of Nebraska is required
Work Environment1. Physically strenuous and can be emotionally stressful, sometimes involving life-or-deathsituations.2. May be exposed to infectious diseases, hazardous chemicals, and other dangeroussubstances. May encounter environmental extremes, violent individuals, and numerousother hazards.3. Work in varied weather conditions.4. At times will have long, unpredictable hours
Physical Demands1. Physically strenuous and can be emotionally stressful, sometimes involving life-or-deathsituations2. Bending, sitting, kneeling, moving and lifting patients and equipment3. Must be able to drive/ride in ambulance for long periods of times without issue4. Must possess physical agility necessary to lift and move patients safely
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work1. Rotating shifts2. Full time position3. Overnights and weekends
Travel1. At times, the Manager will travel from one station to another to help with coverage.2. Position requires traveling by either driving an ambulance or caring for a patient in anambulance.
Required Education and Experience1. Supervising or management experience of 4 or more FTEs2. High School Diploma or GED3. Basic Life Support4. CPR & First Aid Certified
Preferred Education and Experience1. National Registry Paramedic or EMT Certification2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support4. Current state driver's license
Additional Eligibility Requirements1. Current & valid state driver's license2. Must pass company provided PCP physical capacity profile exam (post offer, pre employment)& Drug Screen3. Meet company policy MVR criteria4. Must successfully complete company sponsored EVOC
