Health and Human is searching for a Deputy Director of Eligibility
and Quality within our Division of Developmental Disabilities. The
Deputy Director is responsible for strategic leadership and
oversight of services within the Division, specifically in the
areas of Eligibility and Quality. We are dedicated to our mission

experience.Examples of WorkThe Deputy Director of Eligibility and
Quality will support the Division's operations through:---
Planning, coordinating, and implementing the overall quality
strategy for the provision of community-based services;---
Providing policy and waiver management to support the provision of
services, to comply with waiver requirements, and to conform with
any state and federal laws and regulations;--- Managing the
eligibility and enrollment process to support quality and timely
customer service for participants seeking access to services;
and--- Managing provider relations including development of new
providers, ensuring provider compliance with program and waiver
requirements, and partnering with providers to strengthen quality
of care.This job requires the successful candidate be able to:---
Interact with stakeholders on behalf of the Division Director to
promote system reform and transparency;--- Monitor and communicate
Division objectives, activities, and potential areas of concern as
well as propose remedies to the Director and the leadership team;
and--- Initiate and engage in efforts to ensure services are
provided in an appropriate manner that conforms to waiver
requirements and the overall values of the Division.Qualifications
/ RequirementsREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or Master's degree in human
services, public/business administration, social/behavioral
science, or closely related field and a minimum of 8 years of
experience working in policy development and quality management in
a human services field.To demonstrate these knowledge and skill
areas, candidates are encouraged to provide a sample of a project,
report, or program initiative they led or actively participated in
as a key member. Work samples may include a copy of a report,
program policy or initiative. If none are publicly available, a
written summary of a relevant project and description of your role
will suffice.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesThe successful
candidate should demonstrate:--- High level of integrity and
dependability with a strong work ethic and results oriented
mind-set.--- Knowledge of home and community-based services,
delivery models, person-centered practices, trends, issues,
policies, and laws.--- Skill in interpersonal interactions, problem
solving and analysis, and strong strategic and critical thinking
skills.--- Ability to establish and maintain effective and
collaborative working relationships.--- Ability to effectively
interpret and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and
operational guidelines.--- Ability to communicate information
effectively and accurately and manage team of professionals
responsible for policy and quality.--- Ability to exercise sound
judgment and make timely decisions based on available
information.
