Senior Process Safety Engineers own, maintain and ensure a safe working environment at the plant, ensuring compliance with PSM/RMP requirements.

As a Senior Process Safety Engineer, you are the process safety expert for Monolith's carbon black manufacturing plant. You will develop and manage a process safety management program to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) PSM standard (29 CFR 1910.119), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulation 40 CFR Part 68 Risk Management programs (RMPs). You will be responsible for being a leader in in applying engineering and process safety principles to develop multi-disciplinary solutions for safety & risk issues across operating assets and projects work. You will also provide technical mentorship to various engineering disciplines and plant personnel.

  • You have a degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university and at least six years of experience in plant operations What you'll do in the role:
    • Mentor and coach and plant personnel on all element of process safety management
    • Establish sustainable systems and facilitate training
    • Use process safety fundamentals to lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), HAZOPs, Management of Change, Risk Assessment Processes etc.
    • Serve as a critical visionary for the PSM program implementation strategy for all Monolith manufacturing facilities

      Work is performed in a highly collaborative, fast-paced operating plant environment. We conduct rapid technology development - being close to the action, with engineering and in the field with operations is required to understand and solve problems.
      
      Position is based in Hallam, NE. Minimal travel required.
