Cyclonaire is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician manages and runs the Cyclonaire test lab and performs production and facility maintenance activities as needed. This role will be able to carry out its functions in accordance with Cyclonaire's Core Values. Essential Functions Clean and maintain test lab equipment. Wash down walls and floors. Replace worn or failed components as necessary. Purge convey lines, empty dust collectors, and clean out the destination hopper. Perform bench tests on sample materials received from customers, using Cyclonaire lab equipment; particle size distribution, flowability, moisture, aeration, and density. Plan, assemble, and operate test as outlined within customer test request form; operate a forklift to move components into place and operate power tools for equipment assembly. Analyze acquired data and create test reports for distribution to the customer. Perform basic mechanical and/or electrical repairs of test lab equipment. Provide other Cyclonaire departments constructive feedback to assist in the further development and performance of Cyclonaire equipment. Assists in achieving the company goals by performing other duties as assigned. Competencies: Knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, computers, and mechanical systems with the ability to test, troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical automation systems. Requires the ability to synthesize, coordinate, and compile the measurements and observations. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. Must have the ability to prioritize and manage workload while meeting critical timelines. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate effectively with customer's on a professional level, exercising tact and discretion. Familiar with basic hand tools and tools required to troubleshoot and repair Cyclonaire products. Must be able to work in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft Teams. Education / Experience: An associate degree in Electromechanical Technology or a combination of equivalent education and experience is required. Familiarity with industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, fabrication, and design principle desired. Physical Demands: Requires frequent touching, grasping, and feeling of physical equipment. Talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are required. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Work requires constant visual ability. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently. Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairwells and work at heights. Work Environment: Work is performed mainly indoors, but requires getting parts from the storage building that is not temperature controlled. Travel Requirements: Only local travel expected. Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that permits the use of company automobiles. Safety: Work safely and respect PPE requirements following Cyclonaire safety policies. Safety shoes (steel toe), safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in designated areas. Ability to pass background checks and drug tests as required by Cyclonaire or Cyclonaire's customers. Other Duties: Safe work performance is always required from each employee. Safely perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals. Required to wear or use PPE as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions.
