(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A full-time opportunity is available for a skilled Sign
Language Interpreter to support K-12 students in general education
settings within middle and high schools in the Franklin, TN area.
This contract position is scheduled to start as soon as possible
and will continue through May 22, 2026. The role demands on-site
presence to ensure effective communication and full accessibility
for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Key responsibilities
include: Providing high-quality interpreting services to facilitate
communication between deaf and hearing individuals in educational
settings. Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to
support students academic and social needs. Adhering to ethical
guidelines and maintaining confidentiality regarding student
information. Participating in team meetings and professional
development as needed. Qualifications and desired experience: Valid
licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter. An EIPA (Educational
Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher.
Experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred.
Ability to work full-time hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. within middle
and high school locations. Strong communication, interpersonal, and
organizational skills. Work location: On-site positions in middle
and high schools in the Franklin, TN region. This role offers a
competitive pay structure based on experience, with hourly rates
reflecting years of service and skill level within the educational
