conditions, and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing
implements the strategy through developing, commercializing, and
monitoring the appropriate products and services.
Job Summary
The Downstream Senior Marketing Manager, U.S. Medical Distribution
supporting Corporate Accounts, GPO, and Government channels. This
role will lead the development and implementation of marketing
plans for the U.S. Distribution business portfolio. Primary
responsibility will be to commercialize the U.S. Medical
Distribution value proposition in the Corporate Accounts, GPO, and
Government channels to drive revenue and accelerate the growth and
profitability of the U.S. Medical Distribution business. The role
will report to the Director of Commercial Marketing, U.S. Medical
Distribution.
Responsibilities
Manages the development and execution of a marketing plan for
Cardinal Health's U.S. Medical Distribution Acute Care channels by
performing the following duties:
Executes the tactical plan for marketing strategies and programs,
both short-and long-term, to ensure the sales and margin
performance goals of the business are achieved
Leads commercial engagement with sales, customers, and industry and
trade associations
Assists in the development of pricing, product, and solution
positioning strategies to optimize revenue, market share, and
profitability.
Provides category and market insights through a strong working
knowledge of the distribution solutions portfolio, market trends,
competitive behavior, and customer segments.
Regular report-outs to management with insights and recommended
actions required to exceed financial commitments.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and promote
various products and programs.
Travels with field sales to provide support and help defend and
grow business with key customers.
Develops and conducts product and solution presentations, using a
variety of mediums, to position the sales force for success.
Advance, maintain, and implement training, support programs, and
sales tools for the selling organization and channel.
Drive promotional activity through Marketing Communications to
sales and channels to meet overall objectives.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and
strategic partners.
Identifies new product, program, or service growth opportunities
and collaborate with upstream counterparts to prepare business
plans to gain internal support and resources.
Develop partnerships with broader Cardinal Health marketing and
functional teams in support of the objectives identified by the
Cardinal Health USMPD business.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; an MBA is
preferred
8-10 years of experience in Distribution, Supply Chain and/or
Healthcare Marketing preferred
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, independent, driven individual to
meet objectives
Strong analytical skills allowing for quick assessment of
situations, trade-offs, and ability to recommend appropriate course
of action
Ability to multitask and prioritize while managing multiple
projects and day-to-day responsibilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort
presenting to internal and external audiences
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal
authority
Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, which may include
some nights and weekends.

Anticipated salary range: $102,000 - $145,700
