Description: The Public Health Division of DHHS is seeking a
dedicated and detail-oriented professional for the role of
Administrative Programs Officer for the Rural Health Transformation
Program (RHTP) team. In this position, you will play a vital role
supporting the work to transform healthcare in rural Nebraska. Your
primary responsibility will be coordinating the professional,
technical, and operational functions for the RHTP work. Key
Responsibilities: Achieve in-depth administrative knowledge to
ensure operational efficiency and management. Liaise, coordinate,
and interact with other DHHS teammates regarding administrative and
operational function of the RHTP work. Coordinate communication for
the RHTP team, including monitoring a generic email address
(receiving, forwarding, tracking and responding to emails),
scheduling internal and external meetings for leadership and
initiative POCs, and distributing information. This position will
act as the primary point for external partners seeking information
related to RHTP. Additional work includes recording notes and/or
minutes of meetings, maintaining a log of external
contacts/engagements, and directing inbound questions to
appropriate POC. Achieve familiarity with accounting and
procurement systems to support RHTP staff, including looking up
information, checking status, and tracking administrative
documents. Take on high-level special projects, create impactful
presentations or documents, and deliver information to executive

Qualifications: Associate degree in public or business
administration, accounting, or any discipline related to the work
assigned. One year of experience in administrative, business
management or technical support work including collecting and
interpreting statistical, financial, program, or administrative
data; or interpreting laws, rules, regulations, and processes.
Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of : General business
practices including computer and communication systems; some
accounting experience; work planning and organizing. Skill in:
operation and maintenance of computers and other office machines;
using technical operating manuals, policies, procedures, financial
and budgetary reports; prioritizing/organizing work; data analysis
and problem-solving. Ability to: communicate well to promote agency
needs, plans, and objectives, particularly to executive level
leadership; interpret policies, regulations, and other guidelines;
interact with a diverse group of teammates and the public to gain
their cooperation and establish work relationships; prepare various
budget/financial/administrative reports using computer software
