We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our
team as a Real Estate Tax Specialist, in our Omaha Office. As a
Real Estate Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing,
approving, and processing payments on managed properties, as well
as the preparation of real estate tax documents. The specialist
will ensure accurate and timely payment of real estate taxes. This
position will work directly with clients, tax entities and
coordinate with other accounting staff to improve processes. Apply

SUMMARY: The Property Tax Specialist is responsible for reviewing,
approving, and processing payments on managed properties, as well
as the preparation of real estate tax documents. The specialist
will ensure accurate and timely payment of real estate taxes. This
position will work directly with clients, tax entities and
coordinate with other accounting staff to improve processes.
DUTIES:
- Reviews tax reports to ensure tax lines are set up
accurately
- Set up tax accounts for newly acquired properties
- Review and process renditions, assessment notices and tax
bills
- Interact with farm managers via phone/email regarding
assessment notices and tax bills.
- Reconcile the estimated property tax liability accruals
- Reviews and analyzes property tax process to ensure
compliance
- Corresponds via phone and email with clients and tax agencies
inquiries regarding tax notices, expenses and check requests
- Performs additional duties as assigned and required by
management SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisor responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- High School Diploma with 4+ years of accounting, finance or
related experience, in lieu of associates degree
- 1+ years of property tax payable, strongly preferred
- Experience with agricultural property descriptions,
preferred
- Proficiency in Office 365 PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK
ENVIRONMENT:
- Occasionally required to walk
- Continually required to sit, talk or hear and utilize visual
acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use
