Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.Base Pay Range: $119,000-$186,000This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. This role is responsible to coordinate the execution of projects across our network of sites, track and report on progress against targets both internally and for external disclosures, support and prioritize development of a project pipeline to ensure continuous improvement and progress, engaging the necessary stakeholders and forming and leading project teams as required.The role reports to the Vice President, Sustainability Operations and is part of the Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) organization within Zoetis. This role contributes to the overall success of Zoetis through the successful execution of programs and projects that deliver our business strategy. It is a key enabler of our GMS strategic imperatives, including our imperative to future-proof our business by embedding sustainability considerations into our decision-making.Responsibilities include:

  • Establish and manage appropriate and effective governance structure for our energy efficiency and decarbonization program that it is effective at all levels and aligns with current Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain (GMS) governance structures as well as our corporate sustainability initiatives.
  • Map out program roadmap, critical path, key dependencies and major risks to successful delivery against agreed targets and budget. Ensure program roadmap is dynamic and up to date with peer benchmarking, implementation of new approaches and technologies and aligned with expectations of internal and external stakeholders expectations for climate programs.
  • Develop effective processes and deploy digital tools to effectively support project execution and reporting, including KPIs, training and communication plans as required. Ensure alignment across the network to standardize methodologies aligned with industry best practices for calculating project value, including energy savings and carbon abatement potential.
  • Develop and maintain guidelines and standards for incorporating sustainability considerations, including the cost of carbon, into project financial decision making and the overall capital planning process.
  • Create effective cross functional working groups throughout the business that enable welcoming ideas, sharing success and enabling the team to do the same across the business
  • Monitor and provide regular management updates on agreed strategic program targets and KPIs (e.g. cost, benefit and timeline metrics).
  • Build robust sustainability culture: support development of sustainability skillsets and site level initiatives such as sustainability awards and positive action program (e.g. energy reduction campaigns).
  • Lead and motivate project managers (in a matrix environment) to successfully deliver strategic outcomes on time and within agreed budgets. Provide coaching and support to ensure the adoption of standardised process, priorities and procedures within our energy and decarbonization program
  • Source and secure necessary resources with required skills and capabilities to support programme, including external consultants as applicable. Ensure efficient resource allocation across projects.
  • Manage a diverse range of project stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.Competencies & Experience required
    • Fundamental understanding of energy efficiency and decarbonization goals and techniques and a solid understanding of the engineering approaches in a manufacturing environment. Appetite to learn and develop in a rapidly evolving space.
    • Proven track record in successful project or program delivery on time and to budget within a diverse global organization.
    • Teamwork, collaboration and the ability to build effective partnerships with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels of an organization is an essential requirement of this role. Ability to get consensus from various and sometimes disparate stakeholders to get traction on the chosen programs or projects for delivery and ensure alignment at all level of the organization.
    • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or pharmaceutical program management.
    • Experience in the engineering design and and procurement process
    • Excellent organization skills - be capable of maintaining project documents, schedules, process flows and tracking milestones
    • Capable of managing large data sets, validating savings calculations and preparing audit ready disclosures of program accomplishments aligned with industry best practices and external climate stakeholder guidelines.
    • Excellent communication skills. Ability to produce executive summary reports - be capable of distilling large amounts of information and data into summary findings and results for both technical and business stakeholders.
    • Demonstrable change management skills including behavioral and cultural awareness and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholder groups, in an appropriate manner.
    • Experience of working successfully under pressure, managing complex projects, managing ambiguity and creating clarity.Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental sustainability, business or related discipline.
      • Minimum of 8+ years' senior experience managing manufacturing projects/operations and/or sustainability programs.
      • PMP or related project management qualification is preferred.
      • 5+ years Healthcare / Pharmaceutical / Regulatory experience preferred.
      • Proven ability to manage dispersed teams (consisting of project managers, engineers and business professionals and technical teams).Physical Requirements
        • This role is preferred to be located at one of the Zoetis major manufacturing sites, our Parsippany, NJ headquarters or in Dublin, Ireland. Remote options may be considered.
